Letter to Dean Stanley (McCance's Superintendent)

Dear Mr. Stanley:

I am a deeply concerned citizen writing to urge you to action regarding Clint McChance’s recent comments on Facebook. Although we all have a right to express our opinions in this country, even ignorant hateful ones, Mr. McChance’s comments clearly preclude him from involvement on the Midland School District Board. Put simply, Mr. McChance applauded the recent suicides of CHILDREN, and insisted that he would be thrilled if all gay children and adults killed themselves as well.  In fact, he even said he would wear purple on that day.

I am sure you would agree, regardless of anyone’s stance on issues such as gay civil rights, any person that applauds the death of children, and openly wishes for more dead children, is by definition, unfit to serve on a school board.  I urge you to use whatever means are at your disposal to censure, suspend, fire or otherwise act to protect ALL children in your community from bully and bigot, Clint McChance. The blood of the next gay child suicide is on all of our hands.  Please do what you can to prevent any more dead children in your district, and in all of them.  Thank you.

Sincerely,

Michael Bova
